It sure has been a really sunny day. i was at my unusual suntrap spot near the library and that lovely tortoiseshell cat came to see me again. Mad a big fuss of me as well.

I picked up a few books from the charity shop that was closing as the last day for them is tomorrow. The books were twenty pence each so i bought three.

I will post these up tomorrow.
I had a bit of a late siesta when i got back from Faversham, then had dinner, jacket potato with baked beans and salad, and watched a few episodes of Charmed from season 5, and then realised it was after midnight.

So i headed off to the common room of the hostel where i can use the WiFi to access the internet and keep on blogging. This is where i am at right now, after the lads had finished playing on the pool or snooker table. It is going to be a humid night as well, so i may just watch another DVD later. I can always lie in the following morning.

Oh and at least i will get a payment from Market Force soon, which i guess will come on Wednesday, and at the moment the covert work is a bit light so i will not be racking up any expenses. I do have a pub food and drink visit to do over the weekend in Rochester, so if it stays sunny i may well be taking a load of photos.

I double checked the two letters from the DWP , and they have a reference number at the bottom of the letter. These are consequence and just differ by one incremented number. It is the the latter which says what i will be getting money , so it may well be that they realised i am in a hostel and by withholding money from me could have endangered me being homeless again. they just bugger things up for me.  I will know one way or the other Wednesday morning.

The sunshine only lasted for the morning and it had rained by the afternoon. I got caught in it walking back from Aldi.

These are the three books i got from Faversham yesterday -

Perhaps we've spoken now.

I'm not particularly happy with what we found ourselves saying. We were offered a choice of  Tory futures- and we chose the one that would do the most damage to the political and cultural establishment. I don't think we voted to be ruled by Michael Gove or Boris Johnson; I think we voted to smack Cameron's pink chops and  knock the smirk off Osborne's dial.  Osborne was still in office last time I looked. I can't think why...

We didn't, incidentally, vote with our wallets. In the short term, anyway, we voted against our wallets. Did we believe it when the Brexiters promised that all the millions we wouldn't be sending to Europe would be spent on the NHS?  I didn't. And I see that Farage is already saying they didn't really mean it. Well, of course they didn't. They're liars. We always knew they were liars, didn't we? We weren't voting for them

We were voting to upset the apple cart. To smash things up a bit.  Some will say we cut off our nose to spite our face.

There's a lot of anger around. I caught Will Self on the news last night being really horrible to Dreda Say Mitchell. I've never warmed to Self and now I know why. He's the liberal (so-called) version of an angry white man. Last night he was expressing the rage of a metropolitan elite that has been done down by a load of bloody oiks and it wasn't pretty- all sarky and face-pulling and finger-pointy.

This isn't a good place we're in, but Britain hasn't been a good place for the poor and disadvantaged for long, long time. The elite have made sure of that...
