North Kent Coast Visits
Aug. 8th, 2019 11:12 amTravelling to Canterbury and Margate today to do a couple of sandwich shops plus a charity shop in Herne Bay.
Then tomorrow I have a day in London. Two charity shops, sandwich shops around UCL as well as a beer visit in that area and finally a pub in Notting Hill area plus my visit to Rays Jazz Shop inside Foyles with 30 CD'sto exchange. Expect a haul of new jazz stuff back!

Just Wondering
Aug. 8th, 2019 08:32 pmWhat has been the best hotel that you've stayed in (including but not limited to the bed, the shower, room service, etc.?
What has been the worst hotel that you've stayed in (including but not limited to the bed, the shower, room service, etc.?
What is a deal-breaker for you (i.e. comfy bed, but no WiFi, rotten bed, but great everything else)?

Brian Wilson "Wouldn't It Be Nice" (Bloomsbury)

A fascinating insight into the mind of a mercurial and haunted pop genius that has gone through drug addiction, madness and rehabilitation. Pulling no punches this is a bare-knuckle ride of a read. Definitely, a must-read paperback for any fan of the Beach Boys or his solo career.
