Leichenfantasie
Aug. 22nd, 2020 08:09 amSome Schubert leider for your morning.
That whole Schubert song cycle series from Hyperion is fascinating. I recently acquired Cd no 16 in the series dead cheap. The texts here are based on the poet Friedrich von Schiller. This version is by Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau and this long track is a horror or gothic fantasy. For all Goths out there.
Franz Schubert - Leichenfantasie D 7
Leichenfantasie (Funeral Fantasy)
Friedrich von Schiller
( German text and English translation )
