Sunday Lunch and Lewes Again

Yesterday I took the train from Seaford over to Moulscoomb station to see my brother. Had lunch with him and Rosalind. A delicious chicken Kiev dish with new potatoes and a medley of sweet corn and peas. Pre-lunch had a couple of Bombadiers, with the meal being washed down by a fruity French red. This was followed by a filling apple pie with custard. Mike and I then finished the day by demolishing a 50 cl bottle of malt whisky.
He also gave me five anniversary singles form the Motown label to put on my Discogs site, although I am rather tempted to keep them. The singles came out in 2009 as a limited edition collection to celebrate 50 years of the Motown sound.
The earliest one is the Barratt Strong record “Money” which the Beatles covered in their formative years. One of the best tracks in the collection is The Temptations “Get Ready”. , one of my favourite tunes form the late sixties on that label.
Today I visited Lewes again to do another Green King pub visit over at Landport area of the town. The real ale choice was down to one only - the basic IPA.

Back to Kent tomorrow, and on Wednesday I am meant to take cousin over to Canterbury to the Kent cricket ground as he has a couple of complementary tickets, but alas, the dosh situation will not stretch to it. If it was for next Monday instead then it wouldn’t be a problem as I have a pay remittance from one of my companies I do visits for in my bank that day. Sod’s bloody law!
