Got back around none in the evening. After unpacking i finished a report i did for a visit in Brighton in the morning. I did not leave Seaford till 3.30 pm anyway.

After a reviving brew of coffee, i sorted out the CD's i bought, and some of the DVD's and now listening to a fantastic collection of latin grooves, you know the kind of thing, mambos, rumbas, salsa, and other spicy grooves. Plenty here on this CD for DJ-ing with!

Well that has been a long day. Did the footfall job in Canterbury and during break periods did a couple of mystery shop visits, a travel agents and a charity shop.

The weather has been the hottest so far, reaching 28  degrees centigrade at the maximum. A truly superb day for topping up the old tan. Apparently a lot cooler tomorrow. I found a spare cafe chair to sit down and count the people going past a certain shop site which averaged around 400 per fifteen minute slot. It is a busy city especially with all the foreign students and tourists.

These are the items bought from the charity shop visit.

Plus these two CD's

Various Artists - Viva Brazil!
Various Artists - Latin Street Party

A good haul indeed.

I do have photos of course, and i did remember to take the old Canon camera this time. Well i needed it for both the footfall job and the travel agent visit. These will follow in the next post.

All three reports done this morning. Soon i shall be off to Canterbury. So for this morning tune today i have selected some salsa groove featured in that movie Chef which i saw last evening. Pete Rodriguez and the track "I Like It Like That".
Actually a boogalo as I was referring to the sauce I put on my bavcon sarnie.

Now sing along please.

And now some brassy music from the Hot 8 Brass Band and their version of Sexual Healing.

Yeah on my favourite Brighton based label. Also on the Chef soundtrack so i gotta get that album.

Enjoy.

Well,it turned out to be a good evening. Not so busy as last time as i ad finished early about 11.30 pm rather than midnight. So, basically, i played for five hours, of mostly Brazilian flavoured tunes and a bit of trance funk stuff.

Last night I went to the Fish Bowl pub to spin a few records with Ville and Ally. I had bought some singles from exchanges I made in London some time ago, and not listened to any of them, or even spin them.

These are the ones I spun -

Didier's Sond System – Impuls (Timmion Sounds)
Benny Poole – Pearl Baby Pearl (Wah Wah)
First Born – The Mood Club (Larkin)
Stoned Soul Picnic – Hip Joint (Blowin' It Hard Records)
The Punjabs – Sitar Blues (Jazzman)
Nemoy – Flywheel (Bon 45)
The Simon Sound – Tour De Mars (Project Blue Book)
Donald Byrd / Madlib – Steppin' Again (Blue Note)
Orchestra Harlow – Abran Paso (Fania)
Wagon Cookin' – Lua (Compost 12”
)

Cool funky grooves!

Lubricated by fine real ale!

Ville knows the guys in Didier's as they are all Finnish groove merchants.
