Was This A Bank Holiday?
May. 4th, 2020 10:43 pmWell, I actually did some sunbathing in my sweet spot. It was a gloriously sunny day.
I walked into town as well to get some more plastic posting sleeves for books I sold online.
I had not realised that it was a bank holiday (the May Day one) today either and was confused by the fact the post office was open. I overheard somebody else mention it.
The only buses riding on Sundays and bank holidays are the 333 to Sittingbourne and the 3 to Canterbury. Today I noticed that the 3 was going to Sittingbourne as well as the 666 going to Ashford and the 660 to Selling and 638 to Whitstable, none of which normally run on a bank holiday.
Strange times indeed.
We even had our postie deliver the mail twice!! The post has been rather erratic of late and I guess they were catching up.
I wonder what will happen at the next bank holiday towards the end of this month.
