Watched a few films on DVD recently -

The VVitch (A New-England Folktale)

Came out in 2015 and it is pretty creepy!

It is an historical period supernatural horror film written and directed by Robert Eggers in his directorial debut and stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Ralph Ineson, Kate Dickie, Harvey Scrimshaw, Ellie Grainger and Lucas Dawson. The film follows a Puritan family encountering forces of evil in the woods beyond their New England farm. If you not seen it i recommend it.

From the same year was this paranormal thriller Pay The Ghost starring Nicholas Cage. Very very good creepy thriller.

As we are now into October here is an episode of The Digital Human - Dark

"We might want to drown it out in light, but, as Aleks Krotoski discovers, darkness can be good for us. Electric light tampers with our circadian rhythms. Now we can light up any part of the day, our body isn't shutting off to sleep as easily as it once did. Aleks discovers the way that technology is starting to recognise this on both a personal level and a societal level."

This damn fucking government is trying to Alter the very fabric of our most dearly beloved Auntie Beeb.

"The government is in danger of “dismantling the BBC’s civic value and destroying its economic value, which makes it even more important to involve the British public, especially as they haven’t had a chance before” to become involved."

Mind you , there are some programmes they could easily drop , such as The Voice, Strictly Come Dancing, the Bake Off programmes, and other such fluff.

Here is Graham Norton's view -

I was perusing the verygoodplus website and in their charts forum I noticed one on BBC Records, and I scoured the whole thread to see if anybody mentioned the Young Generation LP, and apparently not. I then decided to go through what I have picked up dirt cheap or free and these are the ones I have -

The Young Generation - s/t

Ennio Morricone “Mai Chai”
which includes “A Fistful of Dynamite” and “”My Name Is Nobody”

Top BBC TV Themes
Includes Area Code 615 “Stone Fox Chase”, the original Old Grey Whistle Stop tune.

Picture

Stereo Sound Effects No.. 9

Picture 090

The other two in this picture are not BBC Records , so i really do not why i included them. One is an EMI Sound Effects LP and the Cy Payne LP on Contour does include the Magic Roundabout theme and "Barnacle Bill" from Blue Peter.

Will look out for more dead cheap or free BBC LP's , so a journey to Rainham is on the cards.
