Another series has just started in the MCU and I watched the first two episodes this evening. Hawkeye starring Jeremy Renner as the eponymous hero. Yep, from the first two episodes, I think this will be a good one.

Wow! Quite a long film but one I will watch again. The Eternals! Watched it on OnionPlay tonight., on my laptop of course. So like the two with Thanos, I will watch this at the new cinema in Sittingbourne when it gets there. Meanwhile, I now know the story and that there is even a more powerful enemy in my opinion than Thanos.

Those Deviants are nasty too, but like the Eternals, they are all Celestials created by some celestial toymaker, a kind of God machine called Arishem. Actually, Thanos is a deviant Eternal.

So another blockbuster, I give it 7/10.

Well, the forecast was for a rainy day and just a crappy day. However, after some early rain in the morning, the rest of the day remained dry, if mostly dull and overcast. Good to know that the forecast from Thursday onwards is mostly sunshine all the way. Also, Thursday is now my new day for doing some visits around south London. That is, Beckenham, Welling, and some train rides.

Yesterday I did my other stint in the common room. The classical and all kinds of music mix, but nobody came and I finished playing my CD's before six, and then I pondered that it might be more fruitful to do this in the winter months. Sunday was quite a sunny day despite not reaching above 19C.

I did watch overnight the complete MCU Infinity War and Endgame - once again - and then watched Spiderman Far From Home again, as the latter deals with the fallout from Thanos's click - taking out fifty percent of all life - and the Avengers blip. It is the blip that is relevant in the stories of the recent MCU TV shows, The Winter Soldier And The Falcon, and WandaVision, and to a lesser extent, Loki. One deals with the problem of having half the world population back and the consequences of rehabituation, and the other deals with the fact of losing a loved one (Vision) due to being snubbed out by Thanos, and hence creating a world where that loved one still exists as a television show, unable to face the fact of his demise.

Some shows I dom look forward to both TV and film we are The Eternals, and the Hawekey spin-off, and hopefully not too long, for the Guardians of The Galaxy 3!

I had been waiting to see the movie for a while and last night I watched it via OnionPlay on the laptop. Scarlet Johannson is back as Black Widow just after the events of Civil War and before her heroic sacrifice in Endgame and saving Barton instead (Hawkeye). The ending to this film has clues what might happen with Barton vis-a-vis Black Widow's sister. But that might be another movie.

So, if you have not seen the film then I am not giving away any spoilers. I will say - go and see or watch it on Disney or OnionPlay for free. It is action-packed all the way.

By the way, Loki is brilliant - the penultimate episode was watched Friday night. Recommended viewing!

Probably the most "waited for" TV series in the MCU - it is coming in June.

Oh yes!!!! Cannot wait!

Another new MCU TV series just started and I watched it just now. The first episode is quite good and looks interesting dealing with the effects of the Snap and the five years that half the world population disappeared due to Thanos and the snapback of some of those that were lost returning.
So, six months after being handed the mantle of Captain America at the end of Avengers: Endgame (2019), Sam Wilson teams up with Bucky Barnes in a worldwide adventure that tests their abilities and their patience.

Trailer -

Another good series to watch. I watch on OnionPlay anyway so I don't have to pay for it from Disney +.

I was listening to the radio this morning and learned more about International Women's Day due tomorrow. BBC Radio 3 is devoted to women composers and artists on Monday for the whole day.

I slept in for a while this morning after having a mid-period of nighttime watching. I caught up with Alien Resident and Episode 9 of WandaVision. This is the last episode of the mini-series and I enjoyed it thoroughly. For those who have not seen this series, it is set three weeks after the events of Avengers: Endgame, and with her powers, she sets up a whole family with Vision alive again in this town that has been captured in a kind of bubble universe she has created. But that is all I will say about it. No spoilers. However, just two things to note at the end of the series - Skrulls (that race was first seen in the Captian Marvel film) and Darkhold (that book of dark magic first seen in Agents of SHIELD).

Also, The Flash is back. The first episode of the new season was watched during the week. Quite a few of these series had to be curtailed due to COVID of course. So next to wait for is the next season of Supergirl.

Disney has now taken all Phase 4 of the MCU but I will not be using Disney as long as I can watch on OnionPlay. I look forward to the Loki TV series. I am not certain if it is the same actor that played him in the Marvel films.

Anyway, I have reading to catch up now.

Well, what a great ending to the last season of Agents of SHIELD. This was one of my favourite seasons and I loved the bittersweet ending. The idea of using the quantum realm was fascinating and complex. I will definitely miss this TV series.

I loved the new empathic disposition of Agent May. Well done all.

AoS Sousa!

Yeah, I have been routing for Agent Sousa since he joined the team and that eventual .. well .. SPOILER ALERT .. if you have not seen the latest episode.

Sousa Is Always There for Daisy

I guess it had to happen. YAY!!

Time loops. Don't you just hate them . So frustrating. Well that was the problem our heroes had in the latest AoS episode. Of course, they eventually solve and forgive the pun, just in time.
So, with Sybil still out there and a Mallick still alive with quake-like powers what will next week episode bring?
Here is a promo trailer.

Latest episode of Agents Of SHIELD just watched. Another brilliant episode with Mack and Deke still stuck in 1982. Oh and Coulson as a Max Headroom video avatar - ace!!

And the AoS version -

So looking forward to episode 8 of AoS next week, and here is the latest trailer -

Just watched episode 6 of Agents of SHIELD Season 7 - which is turning out to be the most watchable yet with Agent Sousa on board as well.    I am looking forward to next week. Here is the trailer for ep.7 in the year 1982.

Just watched episode 4 of A0S Season 7 and I love the way they did it as a monochrome fifties film noir format. I love the way they cleverly keep Agent Sousa (from Agent Carter tv series) alive.

Oh and also I know they jump to 1973 because f this song at the end.

Alice Cooper - No More Mr. Nice Guy

Yeah roll on next week -

Trailer for ep 5

Yes!! I finally watched the first three episodes of Agents of SHIELD Season 7. I found anew site were I can watch the current series for free. That site is OnionPlay. It is more stable than shush.se. Thank goodness.

I am loving this last season so far. Sad to know it will be the last.

I look forward to episode 4.

well, what a bummer of a day weatherwise.
So it will be more channel surfing again.
These are the progs and movies I have watched recently -

Barbarella - classic fantasy film with Jane Fonda
Swamp Thing - based on the DC comic - ten episodes for season one - I really enjoyed this and it got critical acclaim too. Just one season and no more. Boohoo
Spooks - all ten seasons. Brilliant!
The Beyond - strange film but good.
Captain America The First Avenger - never watched it before and as it introduces Peggy Carter the WW2 movie was a blast. It also introduces Hydra! The SSR eventually becomes S.H.I.E.L.D
Captain America The Winter Soldier - the follow up in which best friend Bucky becomes the enemy - brainwashed by Hydra. I saw this one at the cinema.

And so next I am rewatching the two seasons of Agent Carter, played by the gorgeous Brit lass Hayley Atwell.

Every Peggy Carter Appearance in Chronological Order (Spoilers)

Love to see a season 3 of Agent Carter.
jazzy_dave: (Default)
Wow! What a nailbiter. The last two episodes of this season's Agents Of SHIELD.

Definitely the best season so far. Roll on Final Season 7.
jazzy_dave: (Default)
Finished watching the penultimate episode of AoS and looking forward to this season's two-hour finale next week. So will Izel be defeated, and what plans the Chronycans have to save their world or possibly invade ours- which may be the overall ark for season 7? This season has been brilliant!

Apparently, season 7 will involve time travel possibly back to the forties and a tie in with Agent Carter. Now I do hope so because Hayley Atwell is a damn fine attractive actress.

Trailer for Ep 12 & 13.

Today I have been mostly relaxing.

It was a sunny warm day and I was generally sunbathing. The weather was slightly breezy and very warm 23 degrees C with 75 per cent humidity. Perfect tanning weather. Anyway, I have a busy day tomorrow and Friday. Friday I will be in London again.

I have really enjoyed Runaways and look forward to the third season which is slated for later this year.

Marvel's Runaways

Oh, and the series has James Masters in it who played Spike in the Buffyverse.
