Another Performing Rights Society (PRS) job last night at Event II Brighton - this time my first DJ one and i joined the DJ in his central DJ booth. A mixture of house,R&B,classic disco and some indie - basically a mixed bag of good,OK and the damn awful!!  Best of the bunch "Love Generation" by Bob Sinclair and "Mr.Big Stuff" by Jean Knight (a funky Stax number from 1972). Strange that the latter by Ms Knight has always been a disco favourite but it never charted here in the UK. Anyway a good job well done with lots of help from the DJ with the tracks i did not know, especially two "white labels".

Four hours work that with expenses comes to a nice £50. Left about 3 AM -

Wet crap morning. Ventured out about midday to do a mystery shop for TNS at Pret-A-Manger in East Street and had a very lovely cappcucino with egg mayonnaise sandwich. Shortly off to Worthing on behalf of Marketing Sciences (luckily) inside a Tesco Express north of the mian rail station.

Well it sure turned out to be a wet day,but at least i was dry in Worthing - got back about 7pm. Currently listening to some Hendrix "Band of Gypsies" LP, and before that "Cry of Love".

Just going over a few thoughts i found myself laughing other the fact that Rowan thinks i delight in being a right wing Tory by selling off free newspaper CD's and DVD's from Tory newspapers cheap at 50 pence a go at the stall (and that it cheapens the stall. Anyway i never seen S. recycle his stock.  Hey madam,i am a Guardian reader so that puts me left of centre like all you other stall cronies, so perhaps it is best we part the ways. Muddy the waters
I am like a dog with a bone and will not let go.

Thank god for music especially when it is something so good as Jimi Hendrix - truly kissing the sky - heaven must be rocking!

Just realised i haven't done a WEIRDSOUNDZ review for quite some time and it is overdue for some so WATCH THIS SPACE. Meanwhile I am in the process of another spring clean session with the music collection and weeding out some old drum n' bass, hip hop and electronica. Well annotated CD;s will be kept so Trikont is safe and so too is all those Soul Jazz releases and perhaps i should take a lead from Paul and concentrate on certain quality lablsl like Rune Grammofon and Emanem. As Mr Bradshaw once said "Too much music" - which reminds i haven't listened to his "Daily Show" on net radio for quite a long while.

Tomorrow offf early to another Tesco visit in Beckenham,Kent. Ciao!
