I noticed the other day that my Facebook account had been hacked in with a You Tube clip of an unfortunate newsreader whose boobs had fell out on a BBC news programme. It is just as embarrassing as not having your flies done up and your willy falling out. Anyway, i soon changed my password and so on, and deleted the thing. I reckon she must have been mortified ,as Sharpie Bongo said.

History, Music and Weather.
May. 6th, 2014 09:09 amI will be catching up with this latest look into Georgian history (The First Georgians: The German Kings Who Made Britain) after the Rule Britannia one on music from the last three weeks. I have watched half of the first episode on the tablet already.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01wq5xr
Presented by Dr. Lucy Worsley, this is telly that i will be watching. It is part of the Beeb's 18th Century season.
When i woke up this morning the sun was out. It has now clouded over and looks likely precipitation will be the order of the day and just when i thought it would be nice to walk to Sittingbourne, that idea might be scuppered.
This morning i found this lovely clip of Vaughan Williams exquisite "Five Variants of Dives And Lazarus" which i recently heard on BBC Radio 3. I had forgotten about this lovely piece of sublime music, and hence decided to share it with LJ readers here - Enjoy!
Takes my breath away every time i listen to it.

A Lovely Day In The Bourne
May. 6th, 2014 05:50 pmAfter my somewhat pessimistic mood about the weather this morning , it actually turned out to be a very lovely sunny day with a slight sirocco style breeze. I was going to walk into Sittingbourne but Phil gave me a lift as he was heading back that way.
I had a couple of meeting midday at The office and then covertly shopped another travel agent , and then afterwards. completed the report online in the library.
It was about three in the afternoon, and with nothing else to do, i walked back to the village.
Tomorrow Sittingbourne (again) and then down to Tonbridge for a couple f mystery shop, including a charity shop.

AAAGGGGHH!!!!
May. 6th, 2014 05:59 pmIn an earlier post, i said i had trouble with one customer on Discogs. It is still going on. He gave me negative feedback so i gave him negative feedback in return over a CD he wanted to buy, and which he thought that postage was included. it clearly states on the site it is not. Then he tries to dictate an offer price on an item that i did offer with the tag "make an offer" , which as a seller you do so, rather than a fixed priced.
He has sent me another email today -
"I made an offer and asked a question which you didn't answer. It even says
"make offer" on one of Discog's web pages.
Anyway your shipping charges are $7 more than the guy's in the Netherlands.
I saw that you lowered the total cost a bit but I wasn't sure if all the
art work would still be included. I have plenty of cd cases.
Try to be more rational the rest of your life. You won't regret it."
(I know, what cheek!)
so i replied thus -
"This is because the Dutch mail system is cheaper than the British , since i have a colleague in Breda ,so that is how i know. Secondly, i really do take offence at the insinuation of not being rational. I would not send out any CD with the artwork missing , and sir, philosophy was my major subject at university, so please do not talk to me about being rational in the rest of my life.It is that some people do make you feel like banging your head against a wall. I am finding this conversation a bit tiresome, and i really am fed up with having to deal with people who do find the Discogs site difficult. It is not. Each seller can choose whether they want "Make an Offer" on items they sell or not. I , as a rule, do not, unless i specify it in the listing. The site is not difficult, it is you sir.
I hope that this is the very last time i have to reply to you, and FYI , i have banned you from from trying to buy from me in "
Think i will crawl into a rock under a hole now. "Hey Dalek, can you exterminate this troublesome person".
Calm down Dave, get your Vaughan Williams CD's out, put on headphone, and chill out.

I am now an oasis of calm after listening to some Vaughan Williams , in particular the one i posted this morning , plus The Lark Ascending and an album by Antony and The Johnsons, "I Am A Bird Now". It seems ages since i last played the album. His unusual quavery falsetto is a bit of an acquired taste (like Marmite) but this album really does soothe a savage breast.
From that great album, i have chosen "Fistful Of Love"
Also on the same album is this track Hope There's Someone. I love the imagery of this poignant song. This was from a live Jools Holland show.
Enjoy.
