Soundtracks
Apr. 29th, 2018 01:46 amI will be doing a soundtrack music post soon.I was asked if i liked soundtrack albums. Well indeed i do with a proviso that the music stands up without the film.
Well all of Berneard Herrmann's scores comeinto that category (such as Taxi Driver) as well as the Ornette Coleman soundtarckto "Naked Lunch".
Scottish composer Craig Armstrong started in the world of triphop with Massive Attack and thier wonderful "Protection" album and did a couple of his own music and now a prolific composer for films.
So far he has doe scores for -
Plunkett and Macleane
The Bone Collector
Kiss Of The Dragon
Moulin Rouge
The Quiet American
Love Actually
Ray
World Trade Centre
In Time
Far From The Maddening Crowd
Victor Frankenstein
Snowden
Me Before You
But for me his best is still this one -

Balcony Scene (Romeo and Juliet)
Also check out some of Quincy Jones soundtracks and of course another fave of mine , Ennio Morricone.
