Well, I actually did some sunbathing in my sweet spot. It was a gloriously sunny day.
I walked into town as well to get some more plastic posting sleeves for books I sold online.
I had not realised that it was a bank holiday (the May Day one) today either and was confused by the fact the post office was open. I overheard somebody else mention it.

The only buses riding on Sundays and bank holidays are the 333 to Sittingbourne and the 3 to Canterbury. Today I noticed that the 3 was going to Sittingbourne as well as the 666 going to Ashford and the 660 to Selling and 638 to Whitstable, none of which normally run on a bank holiday.
Strange times indeed.

We even had our postie deliver the mail twice!! The post has been rather erratic of late and I guess they were catching up.

I wonder what will happen at the next bank holiday towards the end of this month.

Dave Douglas feat. Aoife O'Donovan - Be Still My Soul

Track 1 from Dave Douglas' album Be Still featuring Aoife O'Donovan of Crooked Still, Jon Irabagon, Matt Mitchell, Linda Oh, and Rudy Royston.
Words by Katharina A. von Schlegel, adapted by Aoife O'Donovan, music by Jean Sibelius, arranged by Dave Douglas.

Be still, my soul: for God is on your side.
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain.
Trust in your God, your savior and your guide
Who through all changes faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul: your best, your heavenly friend
Through thorny waves leads to a peaceful land.

Be still, my soul: for God will undertake
To guide the future surely as the past
Your hope, your confidence let nothing shake
All now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul: the waves and wind shall know
The voice that calmed them in this world will roar

Be still, my soul: the hour is hastening on
When we shall dwell with God for evermore
When disappointment, grief and fear are gone,
Sorrow forgot, love's purest joys restored.
Be still, my soul: when change and tears are past
All safe and blessèd we shall meet at last.

How many brooms do you own and is it (are they) straw or something else?

Did you ride around on a broom when you were a kid, pretending that it was a horse or that you were a witch?

Do you remember what your first 'chore' around the house was?

and for the broom gag of the century -
