I have quite a few busy days ahead now that the end of January is in sight. I am doing some train journeys for one of my companies today and the next two days plus work starting from next Tuesday for every day except for Sunday. There are several charity shops involved of course and a couple of coffee shops. I only hope the weather stays fine throughout.

It has been a very busy day. Arrived home around ten this evening. Just had a tomato and basil bruschetta with garlic for my evening snack. Did not feel like doing a big cook.

Anyway, a less frantic day tomorrow and a week ahead of not doing that much, hopefully.

It has been a weird warn day as well – well since yesterday – and it is still 17 C even now at eleven in the evening.

The weather, once again, is proving to be temperamental and unpredictable. Today we have had gusty winds up to fifty m.p.h in the ascendancy. I decided to reschedule my visit to Ashford tomorrow. It is a chocolate store visit.

The forecast is for a much milder, less windy day.

As for today, I have been slumped over the keyboards writing reports and doing some mystery shops online.

I had not reckoned how quickly the time went. I guess I was engrossed and sublimated into the tasks at hand.

So, I just had my dinner, a Lancashire hot pot followed by a very delicious sticky toffee pudding with custard. I had no beer as I drunk it all the previous evening. It is less windy now, so I might pop to the local store and get some. They are open till eight except Sundays.
No more procrastination, I am going.

After the lovely sunny but cold day in Rainham yesterday, the weather has turned what can be euphemistically called "Yuck!". It has been raining most of the morning. Thankfully, on seeing the precipitation I had no plans to do any visits today, except for ta the fact I have visits tomorrow and I am hoping it will be a dry day.

However, despite the weather, I am in a cheery mood as that long-awaited fund fulfillment occurred and that I am no longer looking at a deep abyss.

I have been doing some reading, checking out for new jobs to do in November and realizing that we are already in that month! When did that happen? Seems that the year has gone by quickly now.

If the afternoon stays dry I will pop into the town centre as I have two eBay sale items to post. Remarkably, that has been pretty good recently, so I hope to keep up the good level of sales.

meanwhile, here is a pic of my workstation/study area.

The far one is for entertainment (music, CD, and DVD's), the white one on the right is for business use and when I am on my visits and the other closest in the picture (on the left) is my main study PC.

I popped over to Sittingbourne this afternoon to hand over the Change of Address document for the council to continue getting my benefits , as well as posting off another slab of vinyl I sold on Discogs I so;d for £14 to a gent in Eire. I also picked up some curtain poles as I have just the bare window and door with no curtain, and just a net curtain covering the window, which means that I am rather exposed when I come out having a shower, drying myself and being half naked or fully naked lol!

The previous tenant took their damn curtains and poles with them, but when they moved into number nine here they realised that the curtains would not fit their new place. Silly bint ! However, I did obtain the curtains for free from them but needed the poles to hang them up. Luckily John from flat 33 did the measuring up for me to get the poles and he will hang the curtains up for me tomorrow.

A new hoover is coming tomorrow, which my bro got on Amazon, and knowing that my broadband will be live tomorrow, I ordered from Amazon a much needed toilet cleaning brush and holder, and a very lovely floor standing lamp with a stepless dimmer and flexible gooseneck for that prefect light for reading and relaxing.

Last night in the Leading Light pub , which is my new local Spoons pub, I watched three episodes of Black Lightning , so now I am up to date with that series. I also had the Angus steak as it was steak night – it was delicious as always.

I am typing this up in the other local The Ship Inn – Percy the parrot is whistling and cooing – but so far no expletives despite them coming often from the patrons of the pub. At least I no longer need to frequent any pub in the evening as often I do at the moment just to get onto the internet. Tomorrow cannot come soon enough.

Now I must do some work Friday Saturday and Sunday as I am way behind and had to cancel some jobs. Friday I should or must pop over to Ashford to do a supermarket visit and Ramsgate for a charity shop visit, which leaves a phone shop visit in Brighton to do,and other charity shop visits in Hythe, Deal, Paddocks Wood Lewes and St.Leonards On Sea. A few hectic days ahead.

Sometimes i find ,not often, but sometimes i am doing the same job for different companies. These Google Pixel comparison shops which i do mostly for my US company (HS Brands) i am now doing- different locations for one of my British companies. I have Ashford and Tunbridge to do for them next week.

Meanwhile here is a pic of where i am drinking at the moment.

On my way from Faversham to Whitstable i took the 638 bus route - it is the first time i been on this service and it takes the narrow lanes between Graveney, Dargate and Seasalter. And i mean narrow lanes of just over a car width but sometimes you find hidden away gems like this pub.

Yesterday started a job up in Patcham end of the city to do with perceived cost of calls from mobiles and landline telephones on behalf of Ofcom. Finishing off today as the forecast is good today but the weather crap and full of showers tomorrow.

Woke up with stomach cramps but a fizzy coke i have just finished drinking seems to have relieved it somewhat. I rarely get stomach ache so it did rather surprise me, as usually i have a constitution of an ox! (So excuse the burps!)

ILast night watched the documentary on BBC 4 "Desparate Man Blues" , a look at 78 collector Joe Bussard ,who has probably the highest quality and rarest collection of old pre Second World war slabs of shellac, including the rarest old time folk 78 on the Black Patti label. All from the 20's,30's and 40's but  mostly pre-war.
BBC 4 are currently doing a Folk America series, and part one of the series was shown last night as well.

Going up to London today and dropping off work at EMS in Chiswick, and then to Notting Hill to exchange some vinyl stuff.

The work from another company finally arrived yesterday after it being posted to me last week and returned to the office from whence it came without me being carded to say the postie tried to deliver it! It should have arrived in time for the 15th. That's how crap our postal service is nowadays!

Oh at least my "Novi Singers" LP arrived quickly. It is a compilation of some of the best vocal jazz from Poland.

Momentous day yesterday as Obama became the President of the USA. I wish him well in his turn of office.

Some work is coming back in again , a pubs survey for EMS,two Wickes visits from HPI, the car servicng job from SFP (Audi and VW cars) and now from EB a visit to M&S at Shoreham (she phoned me this morning) plus a  mobile phone job from Sally Baldwin received in the  last few minutes.

A possible large project from Protel next few months to do with the London Underground. So it seems it is not going to be too bad on the whole.

Meanwhile perusing the VG+ site amused me about a best of Brillo post especially as one muted the idea of Brighton. A summer one sounds good to me here on the coast and ,yep, they would be invited, I am thinking of June when, hopefully,it is nice and warm.
So  London lads, what do you  think?

Just got rid of a load of CDs and two books to generate a bit of income whilst waitng for the end of month salaries and the big un from the Eastbourne property sale. Been very frugal of late and watching the pennies.

Having said that, loads of work coming in from various sources and one from MRUK this morning to do in Worthing for Leeds university and some work in Midhurst from ORB (Opinion Reserach Business - that's  another new one to me..

Weather is improving slowly so feeling less stressed out.

Two freebie records from a VG+ colleague arrived in the Post as well -

The Pentangle - Pentangling (Pickwick LP)
The New Freedom Singers - Oh Happy Day (MFP LP)

The latter is at The Heart Foundation shop in Londoon Road for £3 ,so nice geting that one free! e
