Sunny Day and Books
Jun. 22nd, 2020 05:51 pmIt has been a gloriously sunny day. Also, I did my first face to face mystery shop visit over the island since the lockdown. A very straightforward visit to one of these shops where everything is a pound. I have another in Ashford to do either Thursday or Friday.
Mary gave me five hardbacks to sell on eBay - they are all unread brand new hardback books on WW2. I am not that interested. I wonder if my bro
coming42 might be interested in some of them.

I am doing these for eight quid each including UK postage or added postage if abroad.
It is going to get warmer this week. Today in my sweet spot I sunbathed in 24 C of sunny warmth.

Windrush Day
Jun. 22nd, 2020 07:55 pmOn June 22, 1948, the ship HMT Empire Windrush landed at Tilbury Docks, just east of London, bringing with it the first immigrants from the Caribbean. The ship's name inspired the term, the Windrush Generation, to denote the large-scale influx of Caribbean immigrants during the years that followed. I think, because of Black Lives Matter, it should be a public holiday.
Meanwhile some music -
Lord Kitchener - London Is the Place for Me
Lord Kitchener - If You're Not White You're Black
Enjoy
